Target wanted to develop an addition to their private label food collection that would take the guesswork out of eating right. We responded with Simply Balanced, a new premium brand built around good nutrition that’s still budget friendly. From start to finish, we took on the naming and design ideation as well as the rollout and production of more than 70 products. To top it all off, we paired the striking design with an innovative nutrition labeling system that’s now the envy of the industry.

Target’s Sean Conway brand was in need of a makeover before the spring thaw. Our solution? Re-launch the brand to reflect the designer himself: friendly, genuine and approachable. Now we’ve got the business blooming with a new collection of in-store marketing, signage and packaging.

When General Mills decided to invent a new generation of Wheaties, they turned to Boom Island for a world class package design. With sport legends such as Peyton Manning, Albert Pujols and Kevin Garnett on board, we captured the essence of their competitive spirit with provocative photography and a startling new black box. We brought the athlete-driven new Wheaties FUEL product to life by boldly reinvigorating the package design, converting a whole new generation into die-hard Wheaties fans.

The Wheaties box is not just a brand or package. It’s a dream for every athlete. Trusting us with an American icon, General Mills drafted us to update a classic brand while honoring its heritage. The result was a striking box with a refined logo, enhanced color, engaging photography and a place in the heart of every champion.
SHOCK DOCTOR: Peak Performance
Shock Doctor had a new identity and an impressive technical story to share, but not a lot of space to tell it. We refreshed the brand elements for dozens and dozens of products and translated the technical information for increased understanding on shelf scoring big points with the client and their retailers.
RED ENGINE FOODS: Wake Up Call
Oatmeal. The word alone can elicit early morning yawns. Enter Red Engine Foods with not one, but twelve new innovative oatmeal brands. With vibrant, wake-you-up colors and mouth-watering product photography, we delivered endless design ideas to push the iconic competitor into a corner. Here we go again, stealing market share from the leader by making them look old and tired.
SIMPLY ORGANIC: Pure Goodness
Building trust and encouraging product trial is key to launching a successful brand. With our experience in package design, branding and promotional know-how, we brought this brand to life.
